The Help Centre offers income tax filing service for low-income residents in Northumberland County, AT NO COST to the resident. Low-income residents are those who fall within the appropriate Revenue Canada category outlined in the table below:

Income Eligibility Guidelines

If you are eligible, and need help filing your taxes you can choose between one of these options:

In Person In-Take at Office:
Visit our offices Wednesdays and Fridays 9:00 am to 5:00 pm or Thursdays 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and you will be assisted by our staff to complete your intake form.

Drop Off at Office:
Available Monday to Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm except Thursday only 9:00 am-1:00 pm. During these times we will be collecting tax documents through our Drop Box, located in our office. We ask you to put all your income and related documents in a sealed envelope with your name and contact number on the outside, and your in-take process will then be completed via telephone in the days following our receipt of your forms.

During peak times the process may take at least 2 weeks – Please contact us as early as possible!

WE ARE NOT ABLE to prepare returns for individuals who have:

• Self-employment income
• Business or rental income and expenses
• Capital gains or losses
• Employment expenses
• Filled for bankruptcy and have not been discharge
• Or, for deceased individuals
