Money Management Program
The Help Centre’s Money Management Program provides basic information and tools to help individuals manage their personal finances and gain the confidence they need to make better financial decisions. These lessons are be delivered on an individual basis or as part of a group session.
In this program, you will learn how to create an action plan that covers:
- Setting financial goals both short term and long term – including income, expenses and budgeting.
- Managing your incoming and outgoing finances, tracking your expenses, making a budget and setting goals.
- Basic banking, bank account packages and alternative financial arrangements.
- Tips and tools to help you save money.
- Types of credit available, managing debt, credit reports and credit scores.
- Tax basics, taxable income, deductions, credits and filing your taxes.
- Tips on how to understand and reduce your utility costs.
